Winter Fun

It's been fun to have a lot of snow again, especially since we have mostly just stayed home lately and haven't had to travel in the storms.

So we went to Temple Square between Christmas and New Year's, and is it just us, or are there not as many lights as there used to be? It seems like when Blake and I used to go, every branch on the block was lit. Not that we're complaining; I guess even the church is cutting back. We'll just blame it on the economy.

Christmas

Christmas was so exciting for us this year. Hallie is at a great age and thoroughly enjoyed every Christmas preparation and tradition. Lizzie's favorite part of Christmas this year was driving around before bedtime each night and looking at lights. Every time we'd pull into the garage, she would say, "No, no! Lights, lights!" Christmas morning was thrilling for both girls. Hallie couldn't sleep very well from 3:30 am on.

Holidays

It's crazy how quickly this fall went, and now the holidays are coming to an end too. We've made some fun memories. Every holiday is more exciting when you have kids. Hallie wanted to be Minnie Mouse for Halloween, so I made her this costume. She wore it to several parties, and then decided that for trick-or-treating she would be a cat. As the second child often does, Lizzie wore a ballerina costume that Hallie had worn several years ago. Lizzie didn't seem to mind wearing hand-me-downs, though. We're pretty sure she knew how cute she looked.

Okay, I'm on the right track. I figured out how to put a picture on my blog. This could get fun. We had our family pictures taken in October. This is my very favorite.

Our First Blog

I decided to join the blogging world, mostly, so family and friends could see our girls as they grow and change. We'll see how well I do at keeping it updated and interesting.
